Uniform
School uniform provides our students with a dress code which will support them to be part of the community at St Peter's Centre. This code was developed by students and staff in June 2018.
Year 11 pupils
Year 11 pupils are not expected to wear their mainstream school uniform as they will not be returning to school but are expected to be smart and adhere to the uniform code below in order to be ready for FE College or apprenticeships post 16.
- Dark smart trousers or skirt - No jeans or leggings
- White collared shirt/blouse or white polo shirt
- Dark jumper/cardigan - no hoodies
- Black school shoes - no trainers
- Any make up must be discrete
- Any nail varnish must be clear/nude - NO acrylic false nails for health and safety reasons
- No jewellery apart from a watch and gold or silver stud earrings
- No extreme hairstyles
If you do not have any of the above clothing or have any issues, please let us know and we will help you to overcome any problems.>
Key stage 3/4 afternoon group
As most of this group of learners will be returning to school, they are expected to wear school uniform to St. Peter’s Centre i.e.
- School trousers or skirt
- School blouse/shirt or polo shirt
- Black school shoes - no trainers
- Any make up must be discrete
- Any nail varnish must be clear/nude - NO acrylic false nails for health and safety reasons
- No jewellery apart from a watch and gold or silver stud earrings
- No extreme hairstyles
*School blazers and ties are not compulsory
If a young person attends in inappropriate clothes they may be asked to change them - we will have spare clothes available - or go home to change.
Exceptional Circumstances
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if your son/daughter is having a bad day and may not be wearing school uniform on that day.
